Effective: October 7, 2026
The Korean version governs; this English version is provided for convenience.
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of 가야김 (Gaya Ghym; representative: Gaya Ghym, the "Operator") and users in connection with the nownow app and related services (the "Service").
1. "User" means anyone who uses the Service under these Terms.
2. "Target app" means an app or website the User designates for intervention by the Service.
3. "Free plan" means the part of the Service available without payment.
4. "Paid plan" means the part of the Service used after paying the fees in Article 6, consisting of a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, and lifetime access.
5. "App store" means a business that distributes the Service and processes payments, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play.
6. "Report" means an analysis the Service produces from the User's records.
7. "Report credit" means the right to generate one Report.
8. "Installation identifier" means a random value generated when the app is installed that links the User's records.
1. The Operator posts these Terms on the Service website (nownowlife.com) and in the app.
2. The Operator may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions and the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (the "E-Commerce Act").
3. Amendments are announced with their effective date and reasons at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days before if they are unfavorable to Users.
1. nownow turns the moment a User opens a target app into a brief moment of self-observation and shows the User's behavioral and emotional patterns from the records that build up.
2. Users on the free plan may designate 1 target app.
3. Users on a paid plan may designate any number of target apps.
4. Reports can be generated using the Report credits described in Article 5.
1. A User on the free plan receives 1 Report credit, once, when both of the following are met:
2. A User on a paid plan receives 1 Report credit at first purchase and 1 more every 2 weeks thereafter.
3. Credits under paragraph 2 are deemed granted even while the User does not use the app, subject to the holding limit in paragraph 4.
4. A User may hold at most 2 Report credits; credits granted beyond this limit lapse.
5. A Report can be generated only when the User's records meet the requirements in paragraph 1, including for Users on a paid plan. The content of a Report may vary with the amount of records since the previous Report.
6. When generating a Report, the User may choose Cautious, Balanced, or Bold. Bold is available only when the User's records meet both of the following, including for Users on a paid plan:
7. A Report credit is deducted when generation of the Report is complete. If a Report is not generated due to an error or similar cause, no credit is deducted and the waiting period in paragraph 8 does not apply.
8. The next Report can be generated 7 days after the previous one is complete.
9. When a paid plan ends, credits already granted remain usable, but no new credits are granted.
10. Report credits are not sold separately and cannot be transferred to a different app store account.
11. The credit in paragraph 1 is granted once per installation identifier and is not granted again after reinstalling the app, unless the User deleted the installation identifier with the data reset feature or the identifier was not kept due to device settings.
12. When a User restores a paid plan purchase, credits are recalculated from the time of first purchase; credits already used are not granted again.
13. Reports are provided as a beta service, and their content and format may change for improvement. During the beta, Reports are reviewed by the Operator and delivered by the day after the request.
14. The Operator may temporarily suspend Reports for unavoidable reasons, such as quality falling below standards, and will announce the suspension and reason in the app. Credits held during a suspension do not lapse, and if a suspension exceeds 30 days, the Operator will extend the subscription by that period or provide equivalent compensation.
1. Paid plan fees (VAT included) are:
2. Outside the Republic of Korea, the local price shown in the app store applies.
1. Paid plans are paid through the payment methods of the app store and charged to the User's app store account.
2. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless the User turns off auto-renewal by the deadline set by the app store.
3. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase with no further charges.
4. The payment screen shows the price, period, whether it auto-renews, the validity of lifetime access, and the limits on withdrawal under Article 11, together with a sample report.
1. Users can turn off auto-renewal at any time in the app store's subscription settings.
2. After turning it off, the User can use the paid plan until the end of the paid period, after which the User moves to the free plan.
3. Cancellation and refunds during a period are governed by Article 11.
When a paid plan ends and the User moves to the free plan, only the top target app in the list remains subject to intervention; the rest are kept inactive. If the User pays for a paid plan again, the inactive target apps become subject to intervention again. Records are kept regardless of plan changes.
1. Lifetime access is valid for as long as the Operator provides the Service.
2. If the Operator ends the Service within 2 years of a lifetime purchase, it refunds the portion of the price corresponding to the remainder of the 2 years, calculated monthly.
3. Paragraph 2 does not limit Users' rights under applicable law.
4. Paid plans belong to the app store account used for payment and can be used on other devices with the same account through purchase restoration.
5. Because the Service has no user accounts, paid plans cannot be transferred between different app stores.
1. Users may withdraw an order within 7 days of receiving the contract terms (or, if later, from when the Service began to be provided) under Article 17 of the E-Commerce Act.
2. Paid plans are digital content that begins to be provided immediately upon payment, so withdrawal is limited for the portion already provided under Article 17(2)(5) of the E-Commerce Act; this does not apply to any portion not yet provided. The Operator shows this limitation on the payment screen and offers a trial through the free plan and a sample report.
3. A User with a yearly subscription may cancel during the period and request a refund. The Operator refunds the payment minus the amount for the days used (the monthly fee divided by 30, multiplied by the days used). If that amount equals or exceeds the payment, no refund is due and no additional amount is charged.
4. A monthly subscription cancelled during a period can be used until the end of that period, and the remaining period is not refunded, except in the cases in paragraph 5.
5. Where the Operator is responsible, such as defects in the Service, failure to provide it, or provision that differs from what was displayed or advertised, the User may request withdrawal, a refund, or compensation under Article 17(3) of the E-Commerce Act and other applicable law, notwithstanding the other paragraphs of this Article.
6. Refunds are handled as follows:
1. The Operator may change paid plan prices.
2. When the Operator raises a recurring subscription price, it obtains the User's consent within 30 days before the increase under the E-Commerce Act, together with the conditions and method for withdrawing consent.
3. If the User does not consent to an increase under paragraph 2, the subscription ends at the end of the current period.
1. The Operator may change the content and format of the Service to improve it, with prior notice.
2. If the Operator reduces major paid plan benefits, such as the number of target apps or Report credits provided, it will announce this at least 30 days in advance, and Users who have already purchased a paid plan may cancel and receive a refund for the remaining period (pro-rated daily on the amount actually paid). Lifetime access follows the calculation in Article 10(2).
3. If the Operator ends the Service, it will announce this on the website and in the app at least 30 days in advance. The remaining period of monthly and yearly subscriptions is refunded pro-rated daily on the amount actually paid, and lifetime access is refunded under Article 10(2).
1. The Service and Reports are tools that support self-observation and self-understanding and are not intended for medical diagnosis or treatment.
2. The Operator is not liable where it cannot provide the Service for reasons not attributable to it, such as natural disasters or policy changes by app stores or operating systems. This does not apply to damage caused by the Operator's intent or negligence.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes relating to the Service are brought before the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
These Terms take effect on October 7, 2026.
